SEIUNISA, from idea to enterprise: presentation to students tomorrow on campus of the “Ateneo Innovation Lab – A.L.I.” call for proposals.

Successful entrepreneurial projects born from the innovative ideas of University of Salerno students, ready to enter the world of innovation and startups as protagonists. This is the goal of “Ateneo Laboratorio di Innovazione – A.L.I.,” the third call in 2023 of SEIUNISA, a program of the University of Salerno coordinated by the Unisa Foundation, which aims to support teams of UNISA students, including with a financial contribution, in the elaboration, development and validation of innovative projects and in the in-progress realization of start-ups.

SEIUNISA met with considerable success and great participation from not only young students but also entrepreneurs, experts ininnovation and communication processes, who acted as “Evangelists” within the project.

The first “Innovators” call for applications selected 50 young student scholarship recipients to undertake a training course of about 100 training hours with workshops, labs and meetings with “Evangelists” and then Study Tours to connect with advanced innovation ecosystems such as Seoul and Boston.

The second “Innovation Community” call, launched last June, promoted the aggregation of Student Teams that participated in an internal Pitch Competition that analyzed, evaluated and finally awarded the most deserving entrepreneurial projects created by multidisciplinary student teams.

The new call “Athenaeum Innovation Lab – A.L.I.” is in continuity with the first two and aims to give concrete support to students’ entrepreneurial projects. The presentation to the UNISA student community will be held tomorrow, Dec. 12, starting at 11 a.m. in Pecoraro Hall at the University of Salerno. Introducing the meeting will be UNISA’s Magnificent Chancellor Professor Vincenzo Loia and UNISA Foundation President Professor Antonio Piccolo.

Instead, Professor Roberto Parente, SEIUNISA Program Contact and member of the Scientific Technical Committee, will present the call. This will also be followed by speeches from some of the members of the CTS: UNISA professors Massimo De Santo of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Marcello Persico, professor of the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Dentistry, the two students and members of the Council d‘Administration of the university, Antonio Carbone and Mario Parente and finally the student and representative in the Academic Senate, Domenico Pierri. Concluding theseries of speeches will be some of the Evangelists who participated in the SEIUNISA program who will be able to highlight the potential support they can give to students’ entrepreneurial projects.
