Prof. Ayman El Tarabishy

His experience involves entrepreneurship and creative, innovative and human-centered practices. In addition to being Vice President of the Department of Management and Professor of Management at George Washington University, Dr. El Tarabishy is the president and CEO of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB), the oldest and largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of small business research and practices. Not surprisingly, he played a central role in the creation and promotion of the United Nations’ Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Day. He developed the first courses on social entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity offered to students and academics.

He conducts consulting and management training for several national and international organizations, such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank, and the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB).

Prof. KI Chan Kim

Dr. Ki-Chan Kim is Professor of Management at the Catholic School of Korea. He teaches various business administration paths such as Human Entrepreneurship, Platform Strategy and Korea Management (K-Management). He has served as vice chancellor of the university and, before that, was dean of the Business School. He has advised numerous startups, SMEs and more established companies such as Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motors. He continues to advise these companies to achieve a sustainable business model and ecosystem. He believes that with the right human partnership model, the company will attract the most skilled workers, which will bring longevity to the industry. In addition, Prof. Kim envisions a world in which SMEs and established companies work in partnership. Dr. Kim’s most recent publication, “The Joy of Innovation (2019)” was selected as the National Book Award of South Korea, King Sejong Book Collection 2020.

Prof. Rebecca White

Director of the John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Tampa, Professor Rebecca White is also founder and CEO of Whiteboard Advising, LLC, which helps companies of all sizes develop an entrepreneurial mindset and foster innovation. She is also an active member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and Women Corporate Directors.

Prior to her work at the University of Tampa, she created one of the top 25 nationally ranked entrepreneurship programs at Northern Kentucky University and was founder and director of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Institute, an educational program for women entrepreneurs offered in partnership with The New York Times.

Through her consulting society, WhiteBoard Advising, Dr. White is translating her research on innovation and talent development into useful tools that help founders, entrepreneurs, and top management teams create value in an Industry 4.0 environment.

Skye Blanks

Skye Blanks is the Project Manager for the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) and Director of Knowledge Hubs (KHubs), institutions dedicated to accelerating the development of micro-small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

He is a Presidential Fellow at George Washington University, a role that combines classroom training, professional experience and ambassador interaction with the University’s leadership, faculty, staff and alumni to provide an excellent learning experience in leadership and administration.

Seasoned leader with experience in project management, team building, event planning, and customer relationship management (CRM). He worked with multilateral organizations, government agencies, nonprofit organizations and small businesses.

Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Development Strategies. She directs the Babson Collaborative Research Group on Entrepreneurial Ecosystems. She is Editor of Small Business Economics: An Entrepreneurship Journal, Associate Editor of Journal of Small Business Management and a member of the associate editorial boards of Review of Managerial Science, Entrepreneurship Research Journal, Journal of Enterprising Communities, Journal of the Knowledge Economy. Her research interests include entrepreneurial ecosystems and interorganizational strategies with a focus on business incubators. Her contributions and commitment to the scientific society have received international recognition.
